Our Debt Payoff Progress

Welcome to our debt snapshot page! Once a month I update this page to give a clear picture of where we are with out debt payoff goals.

Things to know:
  1. “Total Debt Paid Off” – This is the amount our principal balances went down by. This does not take into consideration any interest we paid during the month. Interest is simply filed under “stupid tax” in my mind – a necessary evil that has no effect on my principal balance, so it is not tracked.
  2. “Milestones” – It is important to focus on the positive when paying off debt. Therefore I won’t write anything about what DIDN’T get paid, rather the things that DID get accomplished.

March 2015:

  • Total Debt Paid Off: $1911.37
  • Milestones: Used Tax returns and extra income to pay off almost $2000 🙂
  • Total Debt: $36,608.80
